Here is the recently remastered version of my newest song, Sunset Tundra.  I also just reached over 1500 plays on Soundcloud today!

Before I finished working on my song, Desolate Path (Version 2), I began to work on a new song.  I wanted this song to be able to portray the climb I have gone through in my life over the past few years to figure out who I am, what I want out of life and also how I’ve changed, musically and mentally.

Though there are no lyrics in this song, throughout my time working on the song I actually went to the studio and recorded lyrics to go along with it.  As I got closer to finishing the song I realized that it doesn’t actually need lyrics to help describe what it is actually about, I thought it may have been too much.  In the future, I do want to experiment with adding lyrics to electronic music.

This song gave me the confidence to experiment more with music and it made me believe that it is very possible to improve on everything I create

After I made Desolate Path, I went through writer’s block.  One of my friend’s, Nick, requested me to send the files for Desolate Path to him, so he could collaborate with me on the song.  He sent me back something that I really liked, but I didn’t continue working on it for a few weeks.

When I finally worked on the song again, I changed a few things, added more to the song, mixed it and mastered it all to make it sound more complete.  After finishing this project, I got over my writer’s block and continued working on new songs that I will have released in the future.

As I was going through the fall semester of my Junior year and working with 3D animation, I started experimenting with my own music on the side.  I have always wanted to create my own electronic music, but I just never got around to it because I never gave myself the time to.  I was finally able to do this now!

I went to my piano and improvised in a few keys to come up with a melody that would make you feel as if you were venturing on a journey, alone.  I then went to my computer and wrote down the melodies I came up with, made instruments to play the notes and eventually created an Electronic House song, called Desolate Path.  This song gave me the confidence to continue forward learning new ways to come up with better sounds and make more of my own music.
